In view of us having to cancel our Food and Sherry Matching Evening this week, Chris Mooney of John E Fells and I have agreed that we will go ahead and meet on Thursday as planned and have invited all those people with places booked for that event to come to the shop to receive a compensatory copy of 'The Perfect Marriage: The Art of Matching Food and Sherry Wines from Jerez' introduced by Heston Blumenthal. It is a beautiful book featuring recipes and sherry pairings from fifteen of Britain's top chefs and restaurateurs, along with a guide to sherry styles and we are most grateful to the Sherry Institute of Spain for providing us with copies.
At the same time we will be sampling several potential new listings for The Wine Shop and all Wine Club members are welcome to come along and taste them too. Included will be a Pinot Noir and Malbec from Argentina, a Californian Zinfandel and a Ribera del Duero...possible more!
We will be at the shop between 7pm and 8pm on Thursday 23rd September. Perhaps see you there!
